About Adore
My name is De Angelo. I am the proud owner of Adore Kennel. Home of AKC Champion Australian
Shepherds and Poodles.

I have owned Aussies since 1984 when we purchased a Blue Merle Aussie named Miss Charlie as a Ranch
Dog.

My family owned a ranch on the Colorado "Front Range: where we raised Charolais cattle, Suffolk sheep,
Quarter Horses and Mustang Horses. We had hard working Australian Cattle dogs and I always wanted a
"nice dog".  Charlie was a hard working dog from the Las Rocosa lines. She had 2 litters and kept a daughter
from each. Crystal and Kadie continued their mother's legacy of hard working ranch dogs. When I moved to
New York, Crystal was 18 and Charlie 16, so they stayed behind to be the constant companions of my Granny.
Crystal was put down in 2001 at the age of 19 and Kadie died 2 days after Granny just days shy of her 19th
birthday.

In 2002 I was looking for a dog and found a cute Red Merle Rescue Aussie I named Scarlett. Scarlett was a
high energy fun loving puppy.  Scarlett earned her NAJ title as well as several AKC and USDAA legs.

After getting Scarlet I joined the Heart of New York Australian Shepherd Club and became fast friends with
Betsy Atkinson of Hearthside Kennels. Betsy became a great mentor and helped teach me how to show dogs. Soon
after I purchased a pretty Black Tri Bitch named Peek from Betsy.  With her guidance I learned how to show
dogs. We Co-Bred Peek for my first litter of "Fluffy Dogs" Betsy and I are still great friends and I still use her
advice with my dogs.

In the fall of 2007 I started working for Alan Waterman as his assistant. He has taught me
incredible amount about showing and grooming dogs. He has also taught me to use "good hands" on
dogs.

Shortly after starting working for Alan he was given a White Standard Poodle named Izzy. He asked
me to help raise her and she instantly became my pet. She has been a great first Poodle. She has an
incredibly thick coat that taught me patience in grooming. She has also taught me to be humble by
being such a clown in the show ring, including the time she did her down and back on her hind legs.
(It does not state how many feet a dog should be walking on for their down and back). Now after
Izzy, I think I can handle any Poodle.

I remember when I first saw Betsy's Aussies and thought they were "Fluffy Dogs" now, she calls
my Poodles the "Fluffy Dogs"
Based on where I've been, I think it's going to be a great future for me and my dogs.
